Scarba (west)
This is a surprisingly sheltered bay, yet rarely used as an anchorage, possibly because it is not in the modern pilots; it lies just to the NW of Corryvreckan, but is out of the tide. As long as there is some south in the direction of the swell it is comfortable.
Give the point a wide berth - note the breaking rock:
Keep a look out for white-tailed sea eagles.
